Something I learned: “The surname Galbraith is derived from the Gaelic elements gall (“stranger”) and Breathnach (“Briton”). The Britons referred to in the name may be the British people who lived in what is today Scotland before the arrival of the Gaels. The name is recorded in Lennox, during the early 13th century.”

Something that made me happy: Almost any book J. K. Rowling writes. Harry Potter and Cormoran Strike for the win.

Something I learned: Coco Chanel “confessed” that “all her life, all she did was change men’s clothing into women’s: jackets, hair, neckties, wrists.”
And yes, she spoke of herself in third person.

Something I learned: The first woman credited with having finished a marathon did so in 1918. The first woman officially doing so in USA didn’t happen until 1959.
Women weren’t allowed in the acclaimed Boston Marathon until 1972 (although they participated unsanctioned since 1966).

Something that made me happy: How far equality has come since then. I find it crazy how close that kind of inane behavior is to present times.
